The Healthy Hands Foundation, Inc

Every week, a new up-and-coming artist comes into physical therapy offices throughout New York City with a hand, wrist, elbow, or shoulder ailment that impedes his or her creative work. Their options of treatment are very limited given that they often do not have insurance, and yet they yearn to get back to making art through their respective instruments. In order to support the great young artists of the future and to alleviate the physical pain and suffering of so many of New York City's poor and uninsured performers, it is the purpose of this not-for-profit corporation to provide financial assistance to low-income artists who seek physical therapy for their hands (from the fingertips to the shoulder) at an approved physical therapist.

This need-based assistance will supplement or cover the entire cost of a course of treatment for up to $2,000 per person per calendar year. We, the incorporators, believe that the artist's hands are imbued with unlimited potential and therefore no artist's hands should be deprived of their full creative capacity.

We kindly request that you make a tax-deductible donation of at least $25 to the Healthy Hands Foundation, Inc - a non-profit corporation dedicated to helping struggling artists obtain hand therapy.
