Golden Hands and Golden Raisins

by Hattie

I realize that this title is rather vague…what could I possibly be referring to? Well, here goes…the answer:

I have been plagued by severe shoulder pain for decades, seeking advice and treatment from friend and foe alike. I tried acupuncture, physiotherapy, chiropractry, aromatherapy…even a cortisone shot!

Nothing helped.

I’m a dedicated holistic healer/coach, so medication and surgery were not options, but neither was pain for the rest of my life.

Then one evening I was passing Carnegie Hall and saw a poster, “Good Bye Carnegie Hall Concert” with Dr. Shmuel Tatz. That intrigued me. When I worked as a Movement Therapist, I rented space on the 8th floor in the Carnegie Tower, in one of the studios occupied by the Christine Neubert Ballet School. I decided to attend the concert that night, not knowing that Dr.Tatz’s practice was on that very same floor, at the very same time!

Well, I found it out that night.

Sitting next to me at the elegant Weill Recital Hall was Shmuel’s accountant, who explained that Carnegie Hall was evicting all its tenants to make room for offices. When I asked, “Does he accept Medicare?” he pointed out a blond Russian beauty sitting up front, and said, “ Ask her. She’s his receptionist.” When she told me he does, I rushed over that Monday and booked my first appointment.”

WOW!

I was diagnosed with Frozen Shoulder, and our work to thaw it out began!

Within a few weeks, with the skilled manipulations of Dr.Tatz’s Golden Hands, my mobility had increased markedly, which was great. But my pain was still there, which was almost unbearable. We were both somewhat disheartened by this, especially since, other than an aspirin at night, no way was I going to take painkillers.

My work necessitates continuous research in alternatives modes of healing. As it happened, I had cut out a short article on a “home remedy” arthritis cure. I never gave it much attention, viewing it as a step away from snake oil. But I figured, “What do I have to lose?”

I tried it.

It took almost all my pain away.

I told Dr. Tatz, and his fabulous associate, Victor, about it, and he encouraged me to share it with you.

Gin and Raisin Arthritis Reliever

All it takes are two ingredients…One pint of Gin and a box of Golden Raisins.

  1. Put the yellow raisins in a bowl and add enough gin to cover them completely.
  2. Let them soak, uncovered, until all the liquid is absorbed.
  3. Transfer the gin-soaked raisins to a closed container. Don’t refrigerate.
  4. Eat 9 a day for relief.

Well, considering my style of doing things on a large scale, I’ve been eating 9 in the morning and 9 at night.

My pain is practically all gone…and not just in my shoulder!

Give it a try, and please let me know the results under “Contact” on my website: hattieretroage.com.
